Welcome to my blog! I am qiy (not my real name), and I created this space as an outlet to share my linguistics blurbs (with some juicy digital art & cartography sprinkled in).
A bit about me: I have a Bachelor’s degree in linguistics (+ minor in mathematics) and have internationally-published research in the fields of acoustics and phonetics. My current day job doesn’t lend me as much opportunity to explore these passions, so this blog is a way for me to channel these interests.
This blog will feature an adventurous mix of language maps, psycholinguistic explorations, topics in language endangerment, and practical phonetics and syntax how-tos. From time-to-time, I will also post about art, music, and neurodiversity. You might also find my work cross-published on the Silly Linguistics web magazine, as I am a contributor there.
Enjoy! -qiy ❤
